Overclock an Emachine?

Is there any way to overclock an e-machine? I looked all through the bios and could find nothing to do with FSB or Clock Speed. Its a P4 2.4Ghz Proc With more than ample cooling. Is there anyway to overclock this or should i get a new mobo?

emachines are well know to be not very good (& bad power switches) wish i could say don't ever get one (and follow my own advise, but i can't cos i'm using one now) in the BIOS you'll find something like "frequency something" and in that option you will see a "multiplier" setting, the easiest way to OC is to alter (like you said) the FSB or increasing the multiplyer, although some mobo's are better of easier to OC, which mobo do you have ?
 
Get a hold of a program called 'ClockGen'. It's free, and is your best freebie option. However, in the long run, if you really want to OC, then you're better off getting a new mobo. For Socket 478 P4's, look around for an Abit IS7 (-E,-G, not -V, or -E2) or Asus P4P800 series board.

A lot of the boards that are really OC friendly are getting rather expensive, but if you're strapped for cash, that's a better option. You're best off matching an Intel CPU with an Intel chipset. I don't know the logic behind this, but I do know that you get wierd results going with a non-Intel chipset when using Intel CPU's.
