As you know BigB i had trouble with a 600W PSU, now, i've replaced it with the Thermal Take 480W Silent PurePower PSU, which has much higher rails, however my voltages are still the same, im still getting 3.3 on my +5, my CPU is still overheating 60C on turn on in bios, and eventually goes upto 65-68C idle in windows 70-75C loaded..
Now there are two possibilities.. basically i could have put the wrong thermal greese on the cpu.. i think i may have used some of the stuff that came with my graphics card VGA cooler.. by mistake, or i could have damaged my cpu? via using a shoddy PSU or using bad thermal greese...
i tried to remove it with alcohol, which usually works v.well, and it doesnt take any of it off...
anyway, i've got my Asus Star ICE Cooler and i've ordered a 2400+ Athlon.. (i didn't sell my pc) felt it was immoral since it was overheating alot..
or could my motherboard be damaged? :O
