packard bell f5287 screen problem..

i recently bought a f5287 laptop off ebay...it works fine except there is a green shade on the screen all the time except on bootup..as soon as i put in the password the green shade appears...i thought it might be a software problem so fdsk and started again ....but the problem still remains....is this common fault on laptops or is there a fix?...any help appreciated....
 
its possible that the oboard graphics card has corrupt drivers, so you should try removing the current ones and getting the most uptodate ones.

its also possible that the laptop was defective, so you might want to get in contact with who ever you bought off and checking with them if it was like that. otherwise claim it on postal insurance
 
thanks waffle for advice ....tried that but still no luck.....no postal insurance either otherwise would've tried that....forgot to say that screen sometimes clears on its own accord...been on PB site but no answers there either....anyone else with same problem?........
