packard bell laptop f5287 problem????????

i bought this laptop around year ago but have had a lot of problems with it...the latest problem has stopped me using it altogether....it now doesnt allow me to enter the password at bootup because i think the keyboard is stuck or faulty but it could be something else....any suggestions...thanks..

Can you try a different keyboard with it? Please specify clearly what problems you're having and any error messages you get.

dont think i can try another keyboard on it (maybe a usb)...there are no messages being displayed cos im not even getting past password stage.......laptop was working fine (not been dropped or anything spilt on it) then just stopped working....
