Hey, HWF d00ds. I'm currently sitting in front of a Red Hat box with three 19" LCD monitors. The collective desktop area is 3840x1024. While this is a pretty sweet setup to actually get some work done, it's pretty freakin' difficult to find wallpaper that scales reasonably well across such an unusual area. Right now I've just made a few nice ones using GIMP, but I'd like to find some classy-looking wallpapers that wouldn't require much modification. Since the place who employs me works in affiliation with NASA & JPL, space-themed pictures would be preferred. Anybody know of a place I could find images like that?
three tfts to fill, its gona be hard to find something to fill them, just been looking but couldnt find anything good. will post if I find something.
I know, it's really tough to find anything for a two-monitor desktop, let alone three. I've made about a dozen wallpapers which are 3840x1024 with GIMP; if anybody needs anything like that I'd be glad to share them. Despite my amaturish disposition, they look pretty good. BTW, thanks for searching for them, Snipe.
hehe, old post but I did try to ask a few people who I had seen with panoramic wallpapers but didnt reply! did you find any Anti?
I ended up making mine from wide-angle shots I was able to find on the Internet, edited to proper scale with GIMP. I would be glad to post those here, except that I no longer work for the same place!
