    Hi,

I was just using my computer (typing a Word Document and listening to some music on Spotify), and all windows became unresponsive, but the mouse continued to move (clicking anything had no effect until after the freezing when everything was clicked at once!).

Do you think this suggests a hard drive fault is likely? I've just had one hard drive fail, I'd be surprised if another one did (they were bought at the same time, but different brands). I have only had the drive 18 months.

    Thanks,

    Thomas.

try running HD Tune and benchmarks your harddrives look out for low read speeds. Also try running Prime95 for stability issues, could well be the power supply unit on it's way out. Also run Anti-virus and open up task manager to check if you have any dodgy programs running in ram.
