I boot up and it's just stuck on the BIOS splash. Behind is the error PCI Warning: Card Requesting IRQ, No IRQ assigned. Now thing is I don't actually know what this relates to.

    Any solutions?

Do you have an AGP slot with a graphics card inserted? If yes, do you have a PCI device inserted next to it (PCI1)?

I would suggest to put that card into a different PCI slot. What kind of device is it?

Hey rhoch, think it's my wireless card. I'm really crap with hardware. Would there be another slot for this to go into? I can't see one... it's a laptop by the way

Ah, that changes everything. Is it possible to enter the BIOS setup screen and set everthing to default?

Yeah sometimes, I've set everything to default previously, no change.

Did you also try to disconnect all external hardware, and then boot the system?

When did this problem started? Is there anything you did before? It appears that the BIOS is not able to assign an IRQ to a certain PCI device. This can happen if the specific device is broken or something is wrong inside the BIOS.

It's all got to do with my Billionton wireless card not working and me trying to get the correct driver for it.

I've been trying all these combinations of things. My latest idea was to disconnect the wireless card, install the driver from which I think you directed me to and then re-connect the hardware.

So, this current error occured on boot up when I re-connected the card.

I couldn't have damaged it could I?!? I was really carefull!

Another thing that I think maybe i should note, I updated the BIOS a few days before from PB website.

Do you get the same message if you disconnect the card?

Yes, then I think it has something to do with the BIOS update. You can't downgrade to the previous version. I would suggest to contact the seller/manufacturer of thr laptop.

Funny thing is that although I updated my BIOS like 2 days ago, windows was operating perfectly yesterday...

    That's strange.
It could be wise to contact the manufacturer. It could be possible that some device inside the laptop has died for some unknown reason.
