I have a 2GB pen drive which is showing approximately 1GB bad sectors. I haven't manhandled the drive at all and it is almost new so it seems that these are logical bad sectors. I tried recovery through windows xp but that did not help. Kindly help me on this.. any tool that may be useful? Please help

If it's still within the return/exchange period, I'd start with that.

If not, pull up the command prompt and type:
    Code:
    chkdsk X: /p /r
where X is the letter of the USB drive.

you could try formatting the pen (if B's suggestion doesn't work) try formatting it in XP or use something like this

BTW: formatting the pen device will destroy all data from the pen
