    I put together an old computer a week ago. Set the jumpers correctly for PentiumMMX 233MHz. Triple checked. The computer runs fine except for the fact that its cpu is only 200MHz. I ran my AIDA32 and testcpu and the results were also 200MHz. The cpu also has some slightly bent pins - but can go into the socket w/ no problem.

    Just want to know why the cpu is underclocked?

    Check jumpers on MotherBoard. THere might be a referance table as to where pins should be settings speeds.

    Make sure you have your FSB set correctly, you can correct this in your motherboards bios.

    I have the Pentium MMX cpu at 3.5x66MHz. I think that's correct..

    I think there's something wrong with my motherboard.
    3 times 66 -> result 134MHz?
    3 times 60MHz... and the splash screen didn't come up.

    I'm sure it's a motherboard problem - better get a new one
