Has anyone done some photography? I'd like to see what some other people have done if any. Here's some of the stuff I've done for a photo class. I know it's not the best, but I'm happy what's been done.

I've been using a Canon T-50 with a Tamron 70-210mm F3.8 Lens. It's been a real pain using an automatic camera in a photo class but I've got a Sakar 75-250mm F4.5 lens and a Canon AE-1 body with some 50mm F1.8 lens being shipped :)

Pheewwww, at first i thought the thread title was Pornography!
This pic of my cousin is about the only good photography i've done. Took me half an hour to get him to pose.
What you've done is pretty good

    haha pornography, I wish.

Ahhh the dreaded baby on the move! I've tried and given up on taking pictures of babies. They never seem to sit still or look at the camera!

Photography of living things is a pain, I wanted to get interested in it, but just didnt because I'd have to buy a good camera and then learn a lot.

    Like your choice of make.

I would recomend the EOS line.
The 3000 is an awsom specimen, recomended for amature to professional photography. It really the hight of versatility. If you are really going to go into photography seriously, it is worth every penny (cent?)

But as you already have a body..... and lens
you really cannot go wrong with Canon.

I've been seeing the EOS pop up in many places but the old school ones seem more dependable to me and easier for repairs.
    yay for canon!

Funny you should mention photography, I recently dropped maths at college :)S) to take up photography instead. I'll scan some work in tomorrow, I've got a Pentax 35mm SLR...takes really nice photos.

Quite enjoyable, I have to say.

I got my first SLR (Olympus OM-10) as a present. My mom thought it would distract me from girls, boozing and drug abuse. I wend headfirst into photography. I did very well. Unfortunately the camera did not and lacking funds, I had to let the crippled toy go.
*Sniffs and wipes a wet eye with the back of the hand....*
But all I can remember is that my holy grail was the EOS.

Ahhhhh, those were the days...... My freinds thought the camera was stitched to my hand like some weird mutation..... LOL

heh that's what my friends think sort of. They think that I take my photo class way too seriously by taking my camera nearly everywhere but it's actually just a new hobby for me. Hmm that sounds unfortunate, my mom understands she can't distract me from girls :p
bah, anything beyond geometry isn't used much anyway unless your profession requires it.

I just got my canon AE-1 and some weird camera made under a sears stamp.
sears stamped is a pentax k mount with a damaged sakar 75-250mm lens. The aluminum lens barrel has two big dents in it that I've taken apart and am trying to smooth out. Any suggestions?

Very nice, I may go up to Buncefield sometime soon and take some, the damaged land and broken stuff would look good I think...

Nice stuff waffles, I particularly like the first one, that shot looks disturbingly similar to the path up to a beach near where I live.

Those New York photos look awesome, do you have the 4th one in a higher resolution? I really think that would be a cool background.

Unfortunately not. I accidently deleted all the photos I took so the only ones I have are off schools photo cd and so are low resolution. Sorry.
