Photoshop elements question

Hi,

In school to do texturing we use photoshop cs2. Unfortunately, since my school isnt accredited, I cannot buy a copy of photoshop cs3 or 4 educational edition and the retail is like 700 dollars. I have seen the photo shop elements software in the store for a lot less and was just curious. I saw that it has the clone tool which I like, but does anyone know if elements has the really useful patch tool like the CS versions have? (or does anyone know if there is a plugin for GIMP that can do the same thing? I just downloaded the latest version of GIMP last night and couldnt find it :O

sorry not sure about GIMP and can't remember if elements has that option :)

you could try the trial and see for your self Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows
