DesktopLinux.com launched its 2006 Desktop Linux survey on August 21, asking users of Linux desktops to identify what distributions they use, as well as their choice of windowing environment (KDE, GNOME, etc.), web browsers, email clients, and Windows-on-Linux solutions. You can vote at DesktopLinux You get to see the current statistics after you've voted. The results are pretty much what you'd expect - ie Firefox the number one browser.... EDIT: The survey has now ended
[ot] Smart choice for a stable desktop, especially since CentOS 4 will be fully supported until well after 2012. That said, how does it perform as a desktop? (I'm running it on my servers, and the only thing I don't care for is the fact that you're forced into using the ext3 filesystem). Also, have you added the DAG repo yet?[/ot]

Misssed this one ...... :x: Have not been around lately Not surprised about Ubuntu and/or about KDE. Found my winning combination - Debian w KDM and KDE. This is going to be my chosen platform for my rig for the future!
