I need help on finding the cause of my hard drive overheating problem. Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

I have a desktop HP Pavilion Media Center TV m7667c. It has two 300GB Seagate SATA hard drive. Recently, both hard drives are getting overheated quickly: about 28C at turning on and raises to about 50C quickly in about 20 ~ 30 minutes. The system usually first stops responding and then dies at such a hight temperature. My problem here is that I cannot find the reason why this is happening.

My first guess is that the hard drive with the Windows XP is going out soon because it's always the one with XP reaches 50C first and then kills the system. I tried to switch the hard drives and re-install the system. It worked fine for about a month and the exact problem came back again. I sent the desktop to a technique a week ago. They called me today that they didn't see any overheating with their "intensive testing". They didn't find any problem with both of the hard drives either. They believed that it was the dust inside has caused the overheating and therefore they just cleaned it. I took the machine back today and the problem is still there!

I installed everrest and speedfan tonight and found the temperatures for the hardware components are as follows:

CPUs: < 40C when idle; about 60C when full load
    Motherboard: 55C
Hard drives: raise from 28C to 48C
    Graphic card: 70C ~ 80C

It looks like the CPUs and the motherboard are OK. The problem may be the hard drives or the graphic card. I also looked at the four fans. I am sure three of them are working: the CPU fan, case fan, and the power supply fan. However, I can't see clearly the graphic card fan and I don't know if it's working properly or not. Right now I am so confused. This desktop is not a bad one. I don't want to give it up so easily. However, I can't fix the problem without finding the cause. Will anyone give some advices? Anything will be much appreciated.

    My desktop specifications:

    Motherboard: Asus P5BW-LA
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (C) DC 2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz front side bus, Socket 775
Hard drive: Seagate 300G SATA 7200 rpm
    Graphic card: GeForce 7500LE

Well, what I'd look at is if there's airflow on the hard drives. If they're out of the loop when it comes to airflow, that's likely the cause of the problem.
