In the past 2 weeks or so we've seen 3 free xbox type threads. In case you missed this in the rules you had to agree to (which I imagine some of us didn't read apparently) pyramid schemes and related material is not supported or allowed on this forum. People have been banned for this and the thread locked so if you have for any reason found success with a free so and so site pat your self on the back and gloat privately. Even if your intentions are good and you simply want to inform others, please refrain from doing so, we've seen the adds and can try it if we want. It's not allowed and that's all there is to it. I don't mean to be a jerk about it but we would like to have a heathy comunity of active members, not people you get themselves banned the first day. Thank you for the cooperation:)

I can guarantee this will be true.

Rule #9 in the HWF rules ---which are located at the top of the forums and at the top of every single section here---explicitly states that Free TV's, iPods, etc. links are not allowed here. It is for the protection of our members that we are not allowing this. Other sites like Anandtech, [H]ard|OCP, and PC Perspective have done the same thing and they don't put up with it either.

If you are not sure about a link, contact an admin or moderator. DO NOT post it and run the risk of a ban, especially if it is your first post. We do not care how reputable the company is. If you have to have x number of people sign up, it's an almost 100% guarantee that we will remove the said link in violation to it and probably you as well.

This is not an idle threat because we have banned people for this stuff. 99 percent of those people banned are first time posters. Let me make this perfectly clear: Free iPods, Xbox 360, etc. ARE NOT ALLOWED. DO NOT POST THEM OR YOU WILL BE BANNED.

If you don't like our rules, it's quite simple: don't post here at all.
