(note: I copied this post from another forum, I always try to get advice from as many people as possible) Hey everyone, I'm attempting to build a PC for my girlfriend for general use, and to play Everquest 2 and hopefully the Sims 3 and Spore (when they come out...). I really want to stay under $800 if it all possible, though the lower the better. I have a prospective build from newegg that I think looks pretty groovy, but I am wondering if there are any specific hardware conflicts (with mobo and ram for example) that might be ill advised. Any suggestions are certainly welcome. In the future I may add more cooling and see where I can take this but it should be fine as is for our purposes. Also, this is a dumb question...but are there any additional cables I would need to get this thing hooked up? My last build came with SATA cables and everything I needed, but sometimes specific parts aren't listed. Thanks in advance for all your help and feel free to criticize as harshly as you see fit.
I have not had time to look at your build. I would suggest Directron.com as another website to buy your parts. Sometimes they are cheeper. How much do you want it to be upgradable, and if you plan on going with ATi graphics card I would suggest an ATi chipset instead of intel. I'm still new at the hardware stuff but I have built 3 computers. All are still working . to answer your question about the cables just look at the specs it should tell you what is included. Oh, don't forget the monitor and Operating system.
