I'm having trouble installing Windows 7 64-bit and Adobe CS3 on a new ASUS MA4785-M motherboard with an AMD 9600 Phenom 64 quad core cpu. This CPU was on the machine last month when a glass of water spilled onto the keyboard, shorted it out, and caused a System Restore, after which the system seemed okay. I'd like to rule out that there was some subtle damage to the CPU that may be causing problems with these intense installs. Is there a diagnostic tool that could tell me if there is a problem on this cpu? Thanks
well, to start with i assume you want to test the CPU, RAM, and such. 2 goods choices are Hirens Boot CD and Ultimate Boot CD. both are Cd images, that you can burn to a cd (this rules out any OS issues) and have tools to test hardware.
