    Hi Guys,

Im looking to gather some information on memory, Im trying to wade through tons of reviews and articles about different kinds of memories for gaming, overclocking and apps...there's so much though. Basically I want to compile a list of say 5-7 good memory modules most specifically related to gaming - say for gaming pcs or for overclocking and then whittle that list down to the absolute best possible. Any help would be appreciated :)

Well OCZ, Infineon, Corasir, Crucial, Mushkin and Kingston make excellent RAM but
I'd most likely place OCZ Gold Series and Corsair TwinX on the top of the list!

Well 5~10 kinds is too many in my opinion but i would recommend the OCZ Platinum, Gold or Titanium series but it also depends on the DDR type you want!
    266, 333, 400, 533 or 667?

Well, im looking into reviewing them to get some traffic to one of my sites and thats why I need a few types. Thats why im looking for the most popular at the moment, Ill probably end up buying one of each to test on my own and write up an article on it. Basically, coming from people such as yourselves who are experts in the field I'd get a pretty good idea of the most popular types right about now and for the next couple of months which are likely to be the buyers' choice.

Corsair XMS DDR PC3500, Kingston HyperX DDR 3500, Crucial Ballistix, OCZ ???, Geil Golden Dragon modules.

For gaming performance/overclocking PC3500 modules are good.

First what are your computer specs and budget so we know what you can pop in there. Do you want 512Mb's, 1gig, or 2? For instance DDR2 at higher speeds is pretty good but won't work in AMD systems.
I'm for OCz Gold Series except they run pretty hot. Patriot makes some nice ram as well though it holds no major advantages over compairable OCz models. Geil's new One series is pretty sweet looking stuff. If I were you I'd try for some of that.

Here're my top pics. They're all 2x512Mb's as it's really the best way to go these days.
    Geil One

    OCz Gold

    Mushkin Redline PC3500

I'd say the best bang for the buck is the Geil but all will give excellent performance and overclocking potential.
