    Hello,

I have a question about Powerpoint someone here might be able to help me with.

In Word, you have a normal.dot file that is mostly used for standard empty word-documents. If you change that .dot file, the changes will have effect on all new documents made from that change onwards. What I was wondering is if there happens to be such a file for Powerpoint (XP-version).

I know there are some skilled people here, so I'm sure I'll find all the help I need.

    Thanks in advance.

since I dont have Powerpoint installed, I cant help too much, but try searching the "help" files, for "default file" or "default document" you might find something, else when I get home, I will install powerpoint to see if you can or not!

    Yes you can.

The files are saved as *.pot instead of *.dot.

I could explain it, but I suggest you type the word "template" in the help section (upper-right corner), then click on "change the default design for new presentations", and you will have all the info you need. I think it is what you're looking for.
