printer problem

    I have a problem running a design program and have found out that it works ok when the printer is not plugged into the pc(usb port) but when i plug the printer in i get this message:- FPWIN3D caused a general protection fault
    in module DESIGN.EXE at 003e:00001452.

    This is very likely a software problem as the GPF indicated, I'd install the latest printer drivers for your printer from the manufacturer's website.

    Also try removing any applications that start up when you plug in your printer. So just have the drivers installed.
