Probably me doing something wrong but

    sometimes when i click on new posts I get this screen

    no, I get that.

    My guess is that "new" posts is part of googles "spider" crawling along the site, and if they find no new posts since last visit, then it displays that message.

    it's just that you've seen all the posts and there are no current unviewed posts for ya

    I think most likely that its the fact that there are no new posts.. and so its defaulting to that page.
