    Hi everyone,

I bought a new system 2 weeks ago, Completely a new configuration except hdd which is seagate hdd previous to SATA version.

When ever i boot the system, its showing "Disk booting failure, insert the system disk and restart ". When i restart the system its loading windows.

Also sometimes while loading windows, system getting hanged and makes me to restart again. Even sometimes am restarting the system for more than 4-5 times to boot successfully.

is there anything problem with my hdd ? i completely formated the hdd before installing windows xp sp2.

pls provide me solution. thanks in advance.

And why not a new hard drive as well ? Did you check the jumper on the hard drive, to make sure it is set on SATA ? ...

Could it be possible that the cdrom is set to the primary and it is trying to boot from the cd, then when you restart it boots from the slave?
I usually get those errors when I am booting from CD. I'm not sure, but it's worth a shot.
