Last yeat i got rid of my nvidia fx5200 and got the ati rx9800 (256mb)(128bit) because i wanted to play games. I made the mistake of trying to overclock it so i could get better speeds and the card crashed a couple of times so i set the default settings back and never overcklocked it again. I never had the crashing problem again, Only sometimes when i was playing for long time and i had the settings very high. Now for the past few weeks, it seems to be crashing very easy. I took the game's settings to the lowest and it still crashes . Even when i take the ATI Tool test to see my results (with the rotating box) it crashes.

Can anyone please tell me what to do so it will stop crashing? Cant seem to enjoy playing my games anymore even though my card is supposed to be very good. Please?

when i mean crashing you can see the image below. I have to restart after that

Try re-installing the drivers and DX9c.

is the power supply only the cable or do i have to change the whole box inside the pc?

no, you have to change the whole box in the top back of the pc, get a decent power supply that costs more than £40 if your going to get a power supply.

oh, also, buy a power supply of an online store as you would be getting more for your money :)

also go with a brand like antec, hiper, ocz, but there is many more good brands out there, maybe someone can reccomend some other power supply, i cant remember anymore of the top of my head :)

Assuming the power supply isn't doing the job, see my sig. Now, without knowing what power supply he has, it's a little hard to say absolutely yes. However, if you got it with your case, chances are it's not holding up.

i doubt its the power supply and agree that its the drivers or problems with the Direct X 9.0c, i suggest reinstalling drivers from the original disk and trying to load new ones again from the web
