Problem with F.E.A.R

hi, when i try and loa dup fear, everytime it does the error not responding thing, ive uninstalled and reinstalled but the same thing happens, any ideas on what to do?

post your system specs please, and do you have updated graphics drivers?

intel conroe core 2.4ghz, 2gb corsair dominator, 730w hiperpower psu, geforce 7950gt 512mb, i think the graphics drivers are right but cant be sure

Click Start > Right click on my computer > properties > hardware tab > device manager > display adapters > right click select properties > drivers tab.

does it say the driver is made by microsoft corp or nvidia? and what version does it give.

How long does it sit there? Have you gotten the latest 1.08 patch installed?

it just goes straight to error not responding, takes a few seconds to get to that. no ive not get any patches yet

I recall that the retail release of FEAR was very buggy, although I don't remember if that was the problem. I'd definitely snag the latest patch and see what you get.

it says incompatible with this version of fear

There's two versions: one that will update FEAR from any version to 1.08. There's another that will only update from 1.07 to 1.08.

the name was either agc or age mega codecs pack
