    Hi

My operating system was crashed last week and I tried to install fresh copy of windows XP. Although I set the CD Drive in my laptop as first in booting order, the laptop does not boot from CD Rom. I could not install any OS. Could you please give me an idea to solve the issue?

    Note:
    1. I have made sure that there is no problem with CD-Drive or installation CD.
    2. I have enough experience with installing OS in normal situation. So, I am looking for more technical solusion (I reckon there may be a problem in CMOS).

    Thanks
    Thilee

Search for the software : " MHDD " in google ,
download the software and burn it up on a CD
    then
run your computer from the CD ( just like you're trying to installing a new system operation )
the software will start automaticlly ,
    then
the software will give a number to your HDD ,
press the number you see beside your HDD
then you'll be able to FORMAT your HDD drive
by writing the command : CLRMBR ...
it will FORMAT your HDD in a second ...

    Wish you good luck ...
