    Hi guys,
    My system
    ASUS A7N8X - DELUXE REV 2.0
CPU 2500 XP WITH BARTON CORE
MEMORY SINGLE DIMM 512 MB 3200 DDR
GRAPHICS ASUS 9520 TD FX 5200
    ASUS TV FM CARD
This is my first self built computer. noe It works fine baut i noticed it was a bit slow. So I ran Sisoftware. However, when i checked the CPU BIOS icon, it told me that my CPU is 1.09ghz. I am wondering why the big diffrence and do i need to reconfigure something in order for the MB to see the barton core. Please assist. Also how deo i check if I am using my memory to the MAX. Do I have to change a bios setting to make full use of the 3200??
    regards
    kairu

You'll need to set your FrontSideBus (FSB) to 166MHz. To make the memory run at 400MHz, you'll need to adjust the FSB:Memory ratio to 4:5...I think. Check your manual
Do know that with the nForce chipset, running the FSB:Memory ratio asynchronously (anything but 1:1), it won't perform at it's best, even if the memory is running at a full 400MHz. This only applies to the nForce chipset boards.
