Sorry but my english is not good. Hello. I have a notebook with a Matshita UJ-840D DVD reader but i have problems to try to read a CD or DVD writed in other CD/DVD writers. I don't know if this problem is from the hardware or is a software problem. I don't think that the lens be the problem because i still use this reader with CD's writed in this unit. Please help.
No, i can't see the disc name but the unit show me that the disk is blank. Yes. it does. The unit can read cd's that are original.
honestly, this happens to me a lot but I don't know how to fix it, but there are 2 things you can try do 1. use different cds, possibly more expensive discs 2. burn your discs using a different burner.
this happens because the discs you are trying to read still has an open session on the disc, to make a disc readable in other drives you need to close the session or disc (on the system that you burned the disc on)[ot]or you could create multi-session discs and close the burning session without closing the disc[/ot]
