I just wanted to know if anyone has any idea what might be causing the problem Im currently having with my graphics cards. I have had 2 x Nvidia 7900 GTX cards Sli linked for about a year now, and everything as been fine. However, earlier today my display just went crazy. I couldnt sort it so i rebooted my system and had no display at all. I disconnected my monitor from the GPU 1 and connected it to my second GPU and got back my disply. I checked the device list and only one GPU was showing up. I then switched the GPUs around and reconnected the monitor back to the first GPU slot and both cards were showing in the device manager again. I ran 3dmark 06 and once again my display fails, and i can only get it back by switching the monitor to the second GPU slot. Only one GPU showing in device manager again. Is this a problem with the primary PCI-E slot? when i swap the cards around it is always the one in this slot that fails. Also, Ive been getting an error message when i run 3DMark that ive never had before. It says: "IDirect3DDevice9resent failedevice lost(D3DERR_DEVICELOST)" Has anyone got any ideas?
never used SLi before, and I have no intentions of doing so, but anyway, looks like a driver issue. Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies download the latest drivers
