    Hi guys,

I have a fairly new AMD Athlon XP Barton core 3200+ processor running with an ASUS A7N8X-X Motherboard.

During bootup i have noticed that the computer recognises the processor as a 1.09 GHZ processor when it should detect it as XP 3200+ ?

Anybody know what could be the cause of this?

    thanks for your help. :good:

Might double check your jumpers (if applicable--Asus still tends to use a number of jumpers on their board) for your Front Side Bus (FSB---also might be System Bus), and make sure it's set for 166MHz. From their on, you may have to go into BIOS and manually adjust it to 200MHz.
