Though it comes as no surprise that MS is loosing some dough off the console sales of the 360 we now have a figure to work with. It would appear that MS looses around $140 for every unit sold. How they managed to keep it that low is still a mysery acually, concidering the power of the system you'd think the GPU alone would cost at lest $300, but somehow they keep it under $150. But with the high premium gamers pay for games they can get on other platforms it should all even out quite soon. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=27907
It was kinda expected really, saw a 360 in Game store today, looked pretty good, the unit looks nice I have to say. The graphics looked pretty good as well.
I hear a lot of stores forget to use the HD cables and the image quality takes a hit, so in theory we may not even be seeing the true glory of the 360. Good news for anyone with a HDTV at least.
We got one in our Game store, it's played more by the staff running competitions on who's the best at Call of Duty 2. Hardly anyone is interested in it. hah:
LMAO, I can imagine it, a queue out the door of people wanting to buy stuff and the staff huddled around a TV playing CoD2 :chk:
Nothing new here as the xbox 1 is still a money loser for MS. Although I wish MS would have spent a bit of work with the power supply. The thing is huge and while my system seems to be ok I've heard of quite a few systems overheating after 30 minutes due to it.
