    Hi!

    This is a bit of a overlap-thread but I thought it might fit in here quite nicely.

    The connected thread is here.

    Anyway, so I want to get a system, which core components are HD4890/core i5-750 2.66ghz/ga-p55a-ud3/2x2gb ddr3 1066 mhz;

    notice, the PSU is missing (mr. obvious :D )

    I've been looking over the net and considering my very tight budget, I was thinking of a Corsair 400W 12CM ATX12V2.2 80+, but I am not sure whether it will suffice.

    All I could find out there was that a Corsair 450w would be "sufficient" as long as I don't have a multi-gpu-RAID-super-OCed-giant, which I obviously do not have. Hence, the 400w.

    So, please, is this ok? The PSU is the only obstacle now - I obviously do not want to make a wrong shot here. A unstable system is the least I wanna have (been there and it is not a good place).

    thanks!

    Will a Corsair TX650W fit your budget? If yes, I'd suggest you go for that. :)

    I got approx. the same answer from a friend of mine - he said that the 400w will be too short. 650w would be totally in the zone!

    Thanks, man!

    Decided to go with a OCZ 600W ModXStream Pro ;that should suffice.
