PSU for Graphics card

    Newbee so be nice, and not really much of a tech head either i'm afraid.

    getting a new system for xmass budget £600 for a base unit so enough for an OK rig but plainly won't be able to play crysis on very high settings, but should be able to play it ok.

    I'm confused about the PSU necessary for different cards,
    I am hoping to build around either a HD4850 or GeForce 9800GT (I'm thinking the HD but comments welcome). I have read different stuff on if you need a 500w supply to run this or if you can get away with a standard 420w. I'm porbably going for a duo 8400 3GHz CPU.

    Ay what level of card do you need to upgrade the PSU, remember i'm on a bit of a budget so an extra 50 or more quid makes a difference.
