Hi, will a 350W PSU cope with the following:

Motherboard: INTEL D865PERL 865PE 5P AGP 4DDR AUDIO SATA RAID ATX
Processor: INTEL PENTIUM 4 2.4 GHz
    Video: NVIDEA GeFORCE FX5200 128
Audio: (BASIC £5 SOUND CARD  )
Media: 1 x DVD ROM, 1 x CD WRITER (again both old and BASIC :ill: )
    HDD: 1 x 40 Gb HD
    Memory: 2 x CORSAIR 512 DDR PC3200

And, if anyone wants to comment, is the above system OK as is, for now anyway, or is there anything that just wont work, or (as far as I don't know) even DAMAGE the system if such a thing is possible.

    Cheers!

First of all, it will depend quite a bit on the particular PSU as they're not all the same. Some PSU's says they're "350 Watt" but dont push that much. My personal suggestion is, if you have the means, to get a bit better of a PSU, just to be safe. Go with Antec, Thermaltake, or Enermax.. And I'm sure there are other great ones that other people will mention.

As long as its from a reputable company as suggested above then 350W will be fine.

Yeah i have ordered a 480W Tagan PSU, i may not need that much power but its a reputable company and its nice to know i have the power if i want to upgrade, go with a reputable company and 350-400W should be enough, i have had bad luck with generic PSU's!
