I upgraded my computer's MoBo and CPU to a used one previously owned by my brother. It's an overclocked 2.8GHz Pentium 4 (3.2GHz overcloked). So I took out my old MoBo, and put in the new one, I was still using my generic 350W PSU, and the moment I plugged it in, it stared smoking (I didn't even push the power button. So I unplugged it, and now I'm wondering what went wrong.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance.

how long was it sitting before you plug it in ? smoking is not a good sign, You will have to get another one, But make sure you buy a good make/brand ,
they make so many now days. I had a Power supply that like caught on fire,
and they blew up on me before.. man that was strange..
