Did anything 'suspect' happen before this problem occured? (IE any strange noises, random crashes etc)

my brother had been on it a few hours before and it worked fine and it shut down fine, when power cable is plugged in there is a slight hissing noise coming from psu but no other activity apart from light on motherbaord.

    1. Whats your computer configuration? As more information makes our work more easier....

    2. Remove your RAM and put it back....same with all the external cards.

    3. Check all the wires, if there is any loose connection.
