hi our pc psu has gone to heaven, we have found one matching the voltage but found out it needs only 150w!!! can we use a psu with more wattage without fear of burning my house down?
    Thanks

Absolutely. If you wanted to, you could put in a 600W PSU and it'd be fine and nothing would be ruined. So go for it. The only thing is the fact that you may be wasting a little bit of power.

Actually it wouldn't be wasted, just not used to it's full capacity. Besides, wattage isn't everything. This is usually the cheapest PSU I'd recommend, but if your needs are that low you may be able to get away with a generic one.

By the way, if your PSU has gone bad you should definately test your RAM to make sure it didn't fry (RAM is often the first thing to go when the power goes sour).
