Radeon 9550

    I just got home with my new Radeon 9550 that i bought but i have one problem. There is already a card in my AGP slot and im questioning what to do. can i take it out and put in the new card?or is there some other way to installing the new hardware?

    well isnt this a helpful forum

    1. Uninstall your old graphics card drivers
    2. Power down, remove the old card
    3. Insert your 9550, make sure its properly seated in the slot
    4. Power up and install the updated drivers from ATI's site.

    Pretty much what StimpE said, especially if you've got a non-ATi-based video card in there. Uninstall the card, then check in Add/Remove Programs to make sure the driver is uninstalled. Power it down after that's done and go with what StimpE has already said.

    Point 2: I don't know where you live, but at the time you posted, it was past 11PM around where I live. Secondly, unlike the Matrix, we aren't connected to the internet 24/7, so if someone doesn't answer you immediately, don't insult us because we didn't hop to it.
