Hello Forum, I am trying to upgrade RAM on my old Computer but can't find the correct one. My computer is an HP Pavilion a6332f: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...egory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3652765#N269 (That is a link to the SPEC page from HP website.)

I am trying to see if anyone can find me 8GB RAM that my computer will accept, from Amazon.com (or any retailer that will pay for return themselves).

This is what HP has listed for updating RAM on my computer:
    • Dual channel memory architecture
    • Four 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets
    • Supported DIMM types:
      • PC2-4200 (533 MHz)
      • PC2-5300 (667 MHz)
      • PC2-6400 (800 MHz)
    • Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
    • supports 2GB DDR2 DIMMs
    • Supports up to 8 GB on 64 bit PCs
    • Supports up to 4 GB* on 32 bit PCs
      • 32 bit PCs cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.

I am currently Running Windows 8.1 (64bit) on my PC, and I have not updated anything and have only the stock specs that are listed on the HP web-link.

I had ordered the following RAM from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Komputerbay-PC2-5300F-Buffered-FB-DIMM-Heatspreaders/dp/B005HIWDIW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1411361570&sr=8-3&keywords=8gb ddr2) but this RAM does not fit into my motherboard.

I have attached an image that shows which RAMs are currently inside my PC. (http://i.imgur.com/j5thLQp.jpg)[IMG]

Komputerbay , is not good Memory for PC, but mostly for Mac/Apple... You need to get some Memory like Kingston/Edge/G.SKIL/Buffalo and there many others.... just stay away from Komputerbay.. Just my opinion..

    FB-DIMM won't fit.

    Buy 4 sticks: DDR2 PC2-5300/DDR2-667 (same thing), capacity 2 GB, Non-ECC.
