Can i mix DDR 333 and DDR 400 RAM? Im getting a stick of 512 DDR400 with my new motherboard and I already have 1.256Gb of DDR333. the new board will accept both so can i mix them together?

    Cheers

Should work together, though there is a possibility of a compatibility issues, also the ram will work at the lower speed of DDR333 instead of the rated DDR400.

I'm not familiar with your motherboard, but as a general rule, you can mix faster speeds of the same memory type. The rating of RAM is like a tire rating. A tire may be rated for 150mph, but will run fine at a slower speed like 40mph. Same thing with DDR.

Score! So the DDR400 will just run at 333 instead? cool

    Cheers!
