was using 2 gigs 2x1 (667mhz) of ram.
psu -some cheap stupid brand :)
    So its like this.
My old pc suddenly started acting weird. About some time ago i needed to remove one memory stick.
When I returned it back it wouldnt post. After copple of bios resets and reconecting cables it booted in windows where i noticed that only 1 gig of ram was found. Thought I somehow damaged the one stick of ram and removed it and it was working fine with 1 stick. Now copple of days ago i bought new ddr2 2x1 gigs. Now the problem is this- AMD boards have the dual chanel on slots 1-2 and 3-4 (intel is 1-3and 2-4) when i put the ram in slots 1 and 2 for dual chanel it doesnt boot to windows (these are same ram modules)i get post i go to bios it recognizes the memory, but when it comes to booting only a blinking arrow is on the screen, but when i put the ram on slots 1 and 3 (Not in dual chanel)it boots fine. I tried only 1 stick on every slot it boots fine on slots 1 and 3 but no boot on 2 and 4, (on slots 2 and 4 not even post). Now even werider is that the ram that i tought i damaged i tried it again and it works, but still no matter how i combine all the moules i get only boot on slots 1and 3.
My question is did i somehow damaged the ram slots or is it some power defecency for the slots or maybe smthing else
    Again-
slots 1 and 2 (dual chanel) post but no boot
slotss2 and 4 no post no boot
slots 1 and 3 (non dual chanel) post and boot -works fine
slots 1 and 2 and 3 post but no boot (all ram recognized in bios)
    slot 1-post and boot
    slot 2-no post no boot
    slot 3 post and boot
slot 4 no post no boot
    PLS HELP! thank you
and sorry for my complicated explaining
and one more thing for testing the dual chanel i am using the same sticks as before, where they were working fine. 1 by 1 they are both ok but in dual chanel they dont work now-they were working before
