    will any damage be done to a computer of clocked to 533 if 667 ram is put in it? will it work?

    No. RAM is rated by the maximum speed supported. The manufacturer is stating that the RAM is guaranteed to work up to a certain speed.

    Another way I put it:

    RAM is like a tire speed rating. A tire rated for 150MPH will run fine at 40MPH. The same idea applies to RAM.
