It's my sons Barmitzva next year and I wanted to read a nice poem about boys growing up into young men. The problem is I am a complete philistine when it comes to poetry. Does anyone know of a good poem or maybe a book or a site where I might find a good poem? Preferbly with a bit of humor. And not too long or I will be chucked out before they serve the food....
lol. well i don't know any specific sites ... but u know about limericks right? Maybe u should do a search on limericks. I've searched for poems online b4, and there definitely are quite a few sites dedicated to that.
Thanks for replying but no, I will give the limmericks a miss. Maybe as an end bit to the 'main event'. No, I am looking for a proper poem with a bit of meat. I'll keep searching.....
Although I dont read and know much about poems so forgive my bads if u dont like the link....I come across [link=http://www.englishforums.com/English/Poetry/Forum13.htm]this section[/link] of english forum ...I read couple but found [link=http://www.englishforums.com/English/FunnyPoem/hglp/Post.htm]this one[/link] funny......Thea are heaps in there, u mite find some interesting ones...
lol as the good Borat would say, kill the jew! jk, but that movie is hilarious. why don't you guys eat a feast instead of reading a poem? food > talk
This works well, probably because he is one.... Oh, we will feast. Rest assured! It will not be a jewish celbration if there was no food involved.... But it is customery, as well as eating, to say a few words on such an occasion. In the words of Bono "I still haven't found what I'm looking for". But there is plenty of time.... and the net streches wide. There's also a big library to explore, etc.
