want to update my graphics card but i am not sure which one will be compatible with my motherboard not sure if i can put a ddr2 graphics card on here as motherboard is not ddr2 please help if you need anymore info let me know thanks processor pentium d 3ghz dual core memory 1gb ddr motherboard asrock 775i65g graphics card geforce fx5200 (((crap)))
I think compatible with DDR2 graphics, but your board only supports AGP according to this: ASRock Motherboard - Product - 775I65G - Overview This means you will be limited in choice, and the prices tend to be slightly higher! ATi AGP: ATI AGP : Graphics Cards : Components at cheap prices from Novatech.co.uk nVidia AGP: nVidia AGP : Graphics Cards : Components at cheap prices from Novatech.co.uk Thomas
thanks for your help i bought a nvidia geforce 7300gt agp 512mb £35.00 plus 2 year warranty reviews seem good for this price but i will invest in a better one when i get more cash
Ok, just so long as you realise for £35 you can't expect miracles! I don't normally bother spending a lot on a graphics card nowadays since I have: 7 core 3.2GHz nVidia RSX graphics Full HD Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound 256mb XDR RAM 256mb GDDR3 VRAM 60gb HDD to play my games on (it's a PS3 incase you hadn't guessed)! A bargain at only £350 IMO!
:L and i will lol at you with my 3 Core CPu made by IBM, admittingly no, it isnt as powerful as your 7 core cell processor (actually it is 5 core, that is all that is reserved for games - plus, programming for the cell prosessor is VERY VERY hard) 512MB Embedded RAM 512MB ATi Xenon with Full HD - quite marginly more powerful than the nVIDIA RSX 120GB Hard Drive (no i didnt buy the elite, I just upgraded my old 20GB one)
For the record, the RAM in the system and RAM on the video card are separate from each other and do not need to be compatible. The RAM on video cards frequently is faster and newer than what's available for system RAM. There are DDR4 chips on video cards, but people are running them on DDR2-based systems, and even older DDR-based ones.
Full HD?! You wish! HD Game Support: All games supported at 16:9, 720p and 1080i, anti-aliasing Standard definition and high definition video output supported I don't see 1080p mentioned! I forgot to mention the wireless is built in and the free online play...
its a better graphics card than i got in there now lmao mmm an fx5200 128 mb i think my 3ghz dual core processor is laughing at it but even that card is playing some games quite well surprisingly
