my daughter needs a computer for school. she is in a art stream which means she needs to be constantly logging into the school's portal to download some pretty large files. she is only 13 so i'm not sure to get her a laptop or desktop for her too. I currently have a laser printer. is that good enough for her to print good quality images for her school work if needed? i know nuts about these kind of stuffs so i need someone to recommend me a minimum requirement for either a laptop or desktop for me to get for her. i believe she will also need to get some software for her course. she says she prefers to get an Apple product as most of her classmates are getting that. is an Apple product good? if yes, which one and if not, can you recommend me some other brands for her? It sounds like she will need a high end computer, Downloading large files will take allot of Ram/Memory.. As far as Desktop over Laptop, Well that will be up to you.. Myself , I do not like Apple computers... Either there desktops Or there ibooks or ipads.. Though they are nice, But you will PAY allot more for one, compared to a PC laptop/notepad or desktop..If you what a Laptop, I would Suggest a Toshiba Satellite ... Make sure it has at least 8 gigs of ram with a Large hard drive. If you want a desktop, You can find some great deals online if you look...
