I am to upgrade my hardware and I am thinking about a setup of 2 x 2TB RAID1 HDDs. This is going to be mi first RAID experience and I have several questions: Are all latest models expected to be RAID ready? I am considering some ‘green’ product from Samsung or WD but I am not sure if it is going to be a good idea using ‘smart RPM devices’ in a RAID layout. In general I would prefer not to spent much money buying flagship products if compatible with a RAID setup such that. Thank you.
