I'm thinking of replacing the HDD of an old Lenovo x61s laptop (see below picture of the current HDD).
Before buying a new HDD I would like to know of restrictions that might be in place when upgrading the HDD on a laptop.
For example, is there a limit on things like rpm, capacity, transfer speed, access speed, SATA version, etc.
Currently the laptop runs on Win7 but I would like to use it with Linux from now on.
