My fan finally died on my Geforce 9500GS video card! I took the whole heat sink and fan assembly off, so now I have a video card with no fan. I also removed card out of my system so that I can use the on-board video until I get a replacement heat sink and fan. The 4 holes on the card are spaced out with the measurements of 2 1/8 inches or 53.975mm. All the heat sink/fan combos I've researched online are not compatible with my card or the specs of the fan do not have the hole spacing measurements in the specs. I assume that the holes can accept the spring loaded plastic pins that the replacement fans have, but I just cant find any. Any help would be great! Thank you!

I don't think you need to replace the heat shield, Just the fan... Try to find another fan that might work..

Thanks for the replay Ghostman 1! After posting this problem last night, I went on YouTube and found a video on how to add a 80mm case fan that installs on top of the fan cover. Watch the video it pretty interesting! The person in the video uses hot glue to connect the wires, not a good idea! I'll do it the safer way!

My card is different than the one he is using in the video. My fan cover is very similar to his. Same modding concept. I'll post my results when I do it!
