I wanna replace this Intel (Big Arm) 975X Viiv Motherboard with another mobo with 2x PCIe slots and unlocked BIOS with OC support.

I believe its BTX form factor, just not sure what mobo's are compatibale with my current one. Any picks?

(I know this will require alot of work on my part, but I'm really tight on money, and looking for the cheapest way to boost performance on my PC, without buying a new one.)

Running 2x 8800gtx instead of 1, would increase performance by alot (and my 750W PSU should be enough power), but the main point is to OC my Q6600 from 2.4GHz to 3.0GHz (I think that is bottlenecking my whole system).

Well, BTX never really caught on and Intel finally gave up, so unfortunately that will make your search difficult. As long as you know the part number, you might be able to inquire the motherboard part. If not, you may still be able to use another BTX board. The key is swapping it out for one with the same chipset. If you can't you'll need to move to ATX, which would involve the purchase of a new case. If it weren't for the BTX thing, it'd be easy. Normally, I'd point you to Newegg, but they don't even have any category for BTX, so your best option is eBay. It looks like the range is around $100-150, which is a little steep for that technology, but it's still probably cheaper than a new motherboard and case.

good luck. proceed with caution as aftermarket and oem boards rarely fit in the same case without issues.
