restarting my pc

    Hey Guyz,
    i was wondering if you could help me becuase my pc lately has been extremly slow and before my friend has done something to the pc which removes everything and its basically like having a new pc again i was wondering if any one could tell me how to do this thx... :D

    Please move this thread mods.

    I guess you mean formatting. Formatting the drive will wipe off everything. But this wipes of everything including your operating system so Windows will be gone and you will have to reinstall it.

    aint theyre anything wher ei just can take off all the files and stuff and leave windows on?

    No nothing that will only remove applications and files. You can do a fresh installation of windows after a format, and that will work but you'll need a windows disc and also service pack 2 for security updates. From there you will also need to reinstall all your programs.

    nope , i dont have a disc i just bought the pc with windows on here any little changes i can make which may speed up my pc??

    First download [google]Microsoft Antispyware[/google] and do a full system scan. This should remove any spyware whic could be slowing down your system.

    Also have you got antivirus on it? If you haven't [google]AVG Free Edition[/google].

    I'd also download Diskeeper Lite and defragment your hard disk. Do this often (once a week at least) as this tool is a lot better than the Windows built in one.
