Ok, does anyone know how to get Retro* games to work under Win XP?

*= By retro I mean REALLY old games, like Duke Nukem 2, Magic Pockets, etc.

MS DOS I'm pretty sure, these games were made before Apogee became ID Software. Although I do have the Original Doom 3D on floppy disc! So MS-Dos sounds about right for the platform.

Then can you not just get a DOS emulator and run them directly through that?

Like DosBox or something. I take it you tried the compatability wizard already as I used to play Duke Nukem 1, 2, and 3D on my old XP, maybe it was becuause the hardware was really bad, like 1.1Ghz Celeron, 2xxMb's or ram (some weird number), and 8Mb's or integrated video, like a Trident Blade 3D piece of junk thing.

On the topic of emulation, to spare the forum a new thread can you emulate say PS2 games on a PC? Anyone know of any good emu's if this is possible?

I have Dosbox now. And yes, PS2 emulation is possible and some do exist but it's illegal unless you own the game itself, as with all emulators.

They are also illegal and not for discussion on this board, so unless we want this thread closed and us told off by B we should stop discussion on the topic.

Sorry, I didn't realize, okay on track now...So do those games not work with Dosbox for some reason? It's supposed to be one of the best emulators for DOS games. If not you can always just google other possibilities, just like DOS emulators and see what comes up.
