HELP: I cannot re-connect My Packard Bell diamond 1200 plus scanner. When I use the installation disc a box comes up with a heading "16 bit Windows Subsystem" and text which reads - "The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications." What does it mean?
This usually means that either AUTOEXEC.NT, CONFIG.NT etc are missing. Run this fix here: http://www.visualtour.com/downloads/xp_fix.exe and it will restore them allowing you to run the program.
